The Marblehead Light Department
sponsors an
Annual Safety Program
Each spring in the elementary schools throughout town, students in grades
K ~ 4 learn about electricity and why it's important to respect power.
This popular program features a safety instructor who visits classrooms in all
five local elementary schools to teach basic facts about electric power and its potential
dangers. The classroom instruction, geared to the different age levels, includes handbooks
and videos along with hands-on demonstrations to underscore the program's content. |

| For the fifth grade age group, a safety video with instruction
manual and handbooks is available from the Light Department. If you are interested in borrowing the video,
